We were lucky enough to be invited up to London’s Groucho Club in Soho last week to take a look at the new England kit. A private and very top secret unveiling to tastemakers and industry heads before the kit was officially launched to the press. Designed in part by iconic designer Peter Saville, we chatted to Peter about the kit and Factory Records amongst things over a rather nice dinner… and a few glasses of wine! Peter is a very famous and influential figure within English design, and he was on hand to talk us through his working processes of the new shirt which was a real treat. Renowned graffiti blog Hurtyoubad has collaborated with Topsafe, an agency representing some of the most prolific and notorious graffiti writers in the world. The collaboration marks the launch of Hurtyoubad’s first line of apparel since it’s inception in 2003 and is a step in a new direction for one of the world most established graffiti resources. The line features artwork from an international lineup of artists; Horfé from Paris, Egs from Helsinki, Finsta from Stockholm and Hefs and Siege from London. Using the Hurtyoubad name as a common theme the artists have lent their well established aesthetics to the tees, giving them a classic and contemporary look. The Hurtyoubad X Topsafe tees are available in limited numbers exclusively from Hurtyoubad.com at £25.

Well, actually it finished an epic 10 goals a piece. For the many fans watching they were treated to a football feast. With Gert taking the Man of the Match trophy for his display in goal for the yellows. A string of fine Peter Schmeichel esq saves kept the score down and a late surge from the yellows bought the game to a exciting climax and a draw. The worst player on the pitch award easily went to Trendy Golf’s Woodsy, some weeks he can be untouchable, but this week he failed to shine amongst great talent.

A lot has been written, a lot has been said about this monumental game, a 7 v 7 free for all football party…

With more and more stuff taking over the studio we have decided to expand the studio and plans are in place to have it looking pretty sweet over the next few months. M&L Page construction will be doning their high vis jackets again and knocking ten bells of shit out of the studio… stay tuned.

It’s not often we post such sad news on our blog. We have been working with a new bicycle brand of late called Viaggio Velo, a home grown bike company from Southsea that were doing everything the right way, we were so happy to be involved in the project and it is over these initial months of helping to build a brand that we got to know Rick so well. So it is with great sadness that we have been told the very sad news that Rick passed away during his battle with cancer at the weekend. Our hearts go out to all his family and friends and everyone that knew him, which is a lot of people! He really was a top bloke, a pleasure to of known him and it’s such a shame that he won’t be here to see Viaggio take flight. RIP Rick.

Mark & Johnny took a trip to one of the many junk shops in Albert Road and found this new coffee table lurking in a huge pile of shit/antiques.
