Johnny came up trumps in the last of the cake off with a delicious home baked carrot cake covered with a beautiful lime mascarpone icing. He scored very very well, but sadly it wasn’t enough to overtake Ben’s high scoring, Masterchef standard profiteroles with homemade chocolate sauce and a homemade chocolate mouse. So it was a silver for Johnny, but Ben take’s home the Gold, well done guys, ’til next year!

Today we are acquiring some essential goods as we are expanding our Southsea studio up another floor.

We’re working on another two wheeled project this month, collaborating with photographer Greg Falski and London fixed crew 5th Floor…. Stay tuned!

Just round the corner from us here in Southsea is Victoria Swimming Baths. Sadly now closed,  the building is being demolished today to make way for the highest student accommodation block in the world. Friend of ILD and lecturer at Portsmouth Uni, Claire Sambrook was allowed in yesterday to have a little nose around. Some very cool photos we think you’ll agree. Friday saw us hit the pub after work to say our goodbyes to Khanh who has been our intern for the last 3 months. A bit of pool and a few beers it was a good send off, thanks for all your hard work Khanh – the next intern has a lot to live up too that’s all i can say!

We jumped at the chance when Benny Gold asked us to design a t-shirt graphic based on his iconic plane glider for his upcoming retail store opening in San Francisco. The store opening is this Saturday and promises food, drinks, good music and skateboarding…. Just wish we could be there for it!

At the weekend the mystical animation twins (Tom & Henry) showed their magical island to Liz our in-house photographer. Some photos of the Isle of Wight below, and more at Liz’s blog!  A beautiful day for a sun, sea, and a pint.

Love Your Bike Portsmouth is an event based around bicycles curated by Claire Sambrook. We were asked to create an ident for the event so Jodie and Jazz got busy producing a limited run of screen prints which will be given out to friends and participants at the event.

“Bike culture is an important part of cycling and regaining the streets. Love Your Bike Portsmouth aims to encourage participants to fully embrace the possibilities of connecting with their bikes and explore the many ways that they can improve it’s appearance and design. The event will feature workshops, bike demo’s, bike polo, marketstalls, bike artwork, bike safety and a showcase bike arena.”
